Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution must be original and unpublished, and must not be under simultaneous evaluation for publication by another journal. Otherwise, please provide justification in the "Comments to the Editor" field.
  • The file for submission is in Word format, typed in English (you can submit in Portuguese, but if approved, the entire text after final review must be - under the responsibility of the authors - converted into English for publication, with the title, abstract and keywords also kept in English),respecting the official orthography, in Arial size 12 font, with 1.5 cm spacing between lines, 2.5 cm margins (left, right, top and bottom), respecting the word limit according to the classification of the original: original, review (integrative or systematic) or experience report, including references, tables, charts, figures, photos and attachments.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in Author Guidelines, on the About the Journal section.


  • I am aware that all documents submitted are subject to analysis and detection by plagiarism detection software (software used by Plagius Detector). Academic plagiarism at any level is a crime and violates the Brazilian legislation, specifically Article 184 of the Criminal Code and Article 7, third paragraph, of Law No. 9610-98, which governs copyright, and is considered a civil and criminal matter.

Author Guidelines

  • Conditions for submission:

As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify the submission's compliance with all of the items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the guidelines will be returned to the authors.

  1. The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format.
  3. URLs for reference are provided when possible.
  4. Text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); figures and tables are included in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
  5. The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
  6. In case of submission to a peer-reviewed section (e.g., articles), the instructions available in Ensuring blind peer review are followed.

  7. There is no charge for manuscript submission.
